샌드박스 포탈은 프로게이머,크리에이터, 직장인, 대학생 등 연령과 직종에 관계없이 모든 게이머들이 즐겁게 모여 즐길 수 있는 복합 문화 PC방입니다. 기존 PC방의 이미지를 탈피하되 운영상의 성공 요소들은 최대한 활용하여 기존 유저 고객 뿐 아니라 새로운 고객층을 끌어 들이는 것에 주안점을 두고 설계를 진행하였습니다. 이를 위해 PC방이라는 사이트가 가지는 메타버스적 상징성에서 디자인의 키워드를 도출하고 전체적인 디자인 컨셉을 전개하였습니다. 메타버스라는 가상 세계로의 이동하는 특별한 경험을 위해 엔터런스 영역에 미디어와 빛을 활용합니다. 특히나 마감 영역에서 그리드를 반복적으로 사용함으로써 현재의 사용자가 위치한 곳이 가상세계임을 자연스럽게 인지할 수 있도록 의도합니다.
Sandbox Portal is a complex cultural PC room where all gamers, regardless of age or occupation, including professional gamers, creators, office workers, and college students, can gather and enjoy themselves. The design was focused on breaking away from the image of existing PC rooms while maximizing the use of operational success factors to attract not only existing users but also new customers. To this end, design keywords were derived from the metaverse symbolism of the PC room site and the overall design concept was developed. Media and light are utilized in the entrance area to create a special experience of moving to the virtual world called the metaverse. In particular, by repeatedly using grids in the finish area, the intention is to allow the current user to naturally recognize that they are in the virtual world.
