저스트브레드는 베이커리 납품을 위한 공장으로, 오래되고 낡은 창고
건물을 HACCP인증으로 탈바꿈시키는 프로젝트였다. 구조나 마감의 제한, 열악한 기존환경 등 수많은 제약들의 해결을
위해 오히려 단순하게 '공장' 그리고 상호에 있는 'JUST' 라는 단순한 명제에 포커스를 맞췄다. 공장과 판매공간이 면하는 일부영역은 유리 벽체를 통해 시선이 공장 안쪽까지 자연스레 유입 될 수 있도록 했고, 좌측에는 유리 블럭을 이용해 자연채광을 은은하게 끌어들여 시선이 끊임없이 확장될 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 과하지 않게 사용된 투명 그레이팅은 차분하게 채색된 공간에 생동감을 부여한다. 공장답게라는 명제에 맞게 전체적인 공간의 톤앤매너를
형성하는 함석소재와 프레임들의 투박한 비례, 제품이 출고되는 기다란 초록색의 동선은 이곳이 공장임을
분명히 하고 있다.
Just Bread is a factory for bakery supplies, and it was a project to transform an old and worn-out warehouse building into a HACCP-certified one. In order to solve numerous constraints such as restrictions on structure and finish, and poor existing environment, we focused on the simple proposition of 'factory' and 'JUST' in the name. Some areas where the factory and sales space meet have glass walls so that the line of sight can naturally flow into the factory, and on the left side, glass blocks were used to gently draw in natural light so that the line of sight can constantly expand. In addition, transparent gratings used in moderation give a sense of liveliness to the calmly colored space. The rough proportions of the stone materials and frames that form the tone and manner of the overall space in line with the proposition of being like a factory, and the long green path through which products are shipped, clearly indicate that this is a factory.
